OUR APPROACHES

GSDI as NGO dealing with human rights, environment, entrepreneurship, gender, and youth, we believe that comprehensive and integrated approach can be adopted to address these interconnected issues effectively. Our approaches includes the following;

Intersectional Programming: Develop programs and initiatives that recognize the intersectionality of human rights, gender, and environmental issues. For example, focus on promoting environmental justice by addressing the disproportionate impact of environmental degradation on marginalized communities, particularly women and youth.

Capacity Building: Offer training and capacity-building programs for youth, especially focusing on entrepreneurship skills that align with sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. These programs can also incorporate gender-sensitive approaches to ensure inclusivity and empower marginalized groups.

Advocacy and Policy Engagement: Advocate for policies and legislation that uphold human rights, promote environmental sustainability, and support entrepreneurship, with a particular emphasis on gender equality and youth participation. Engage in policy dialogue and lobbying efforts to influence decision-makers at local, national, and international levels.

Community Empowerment: Implement community-based initiatives that empower marginalized communities, including women and youth, to actively participate in decision-making processes related to environmental conservation, economic development, and human rights advocacy. Provide resources and support to enable community-led initiatives and grassroots movements.

Education and Awareness: Conduct educational campaigns and awareness-raising activities to promote understanding and action on issues related to human rights, gender equality, environmental conservation, and entrepreneurship. Utilize innovative methods such as workshops, social media campaigns, and interactive multimedia tools to engage diverse audiences, including youth.

Partnerships and Collaboration: Forge partnerships with other NGOs, governmental agencies, academic institutions, and private sector stakeholders to leverage resources, expertise, and networks for collective action. Collaborate on joint projects and initiatives that address the interconnected challenges of human rights, gender, environment, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of interventions across different thematic areas. Collect data and feedback to measure outcomes, identify best practices, and continuously improve program effectiveness and relevance.
